The Yonex Vcore Pro 97 HD has a dense string pattern of 18×20 and the HD standing for high-density, in previous Vcore Pro lines we’ve seen the 16×20 pattern worked well so I was hopeful that this 18 20 pattern would bring something really exciting to the table.
looking at the tech we have the VDM mesh in the handle which supposedly reduces vibrations, we also have the NAND technology which does seem to give a great flex and kind of snap back on contact, and then we have an interesting lock boost grommet system on this racquet, but I suppose the big thing is that 18×20 string pattern.
Other specs are 320 on strung weight nice thin 20-millimeter beam again a ridiculously low 59 RA flex 326 swing weight and course that 97 head.

Control
I was getting great control out of this racquet it didn’t need any customization the combination of its unstrung weight the swing weight and that thin beam is good, you can hit out and hit flat with great control you can pick your targets, and then when need be you can kind of defend and take people by surprise almost because of that kickback there really surprising spin level that it gives you.
Touch shots and volleys are good with such control and sort of feel orientated racquet, I certainly felt it to be nice and stable at the net and I could drop shot pretty effectively with this racquet.
Feel and touch
The Yonex Vcore Pro 97 HD is exceptionally flexible and very comfortable, the combination of that circa 59 RA and the VDM mash does make it exceptionally comfortable I was having no twinges at all in my arm with various strings but I think that does lead to a bit of an adjustment time.
Volleys & Serves
The good mass in the Yonex Vcore Pro 97 HD and the thin beam makes it maneuverable and fast through the air with the right technique you could swing it as fast as you wanted to and after a small adjustment period, you will be able to hit targets on your first serve with good pace and that lock booster grommets will also allow you to hit them good sort of slice out wide serves, so for serves, it is fantastic.
Groundstrokes
For groundstrokes, the 18×20 string pattern is great the path of the ball coming off the racquet is awesome, it is not like some 18×20 racquets where the ball kind of lasers through a little bit, you have to force it to go up, this wasn’t the case with this racquet it had a good shape but it wasn’t too up and down or too linear, I wasn’t caught by surprise with the weight of it I was hitting the ball big and a little bit effortless so I enjoyed the racquet the 59 stiffness provides a nice buttery feel through the shot.

in summary, The Yonex Vcore Pro 97 HD is a clever well made racket it gives you lots of different qualities that you wouldn’t expect the control of an 18×20 the kind of weight and stability that you’re looking for if you’ve got an advanced game it’s also really whippy and maneuverable.
you can get some great power and spin out of it, it is a fantastic racquet I guess if you’re a baseline just looking for a power and spin monster maybe you’d look elsewhere but I think most people want a fairly all-around game and this will be a racquet that most people will enjoy.
it will have a big adjustment period and I think that if you go for it then you’re gonna need to stick to it but if you do it’s the sort of racquet that will help you develop your game it will kind of grow up with you.

Let’s start with The Yonex Ezone 98, this racquet gives great feedback on both clean hits and bad hits.
It provides a great balance between power and control. The 16×19 pattern helps to generate a lot of spin.
The Yonex Ezone 98 provides easy access to power even in difficult shots that sometimes need more control.
This racquet has a good feel and good maneuverability, it is a little bit too light at 305-gram grams but you added just a little bit more weight maybe leather grip it would be a fantastic racket.
On serves, it feels very good. It provides so much spin and slice, it’s not necessarily the best one out of the bunch for flat serves, just because I don’t think it is as powerful as the other two, but just as a full package, for serving it is fantastic.
In the returns, the Yonex Ezone 98 has a good amount of control and feedback it is fairly stable through the shot it’s not necessarily the easiest to return with because this doesn’t have too much weight behind it so you have to swing but it’s not a complaint it’s just you need a little bit more weight but the feel of it is fantastic.
The Yonex Ezone 98 is a great option for players who have a modern technique and who are looking to hit with a lot of spins and power.
Moving on to the Yonex Ezone 98, it’s one of the most popular Yonex racquets, it’s a powerful racquet with a lot of head speed, it’s not controllable as the other two, so if you’re a beginner to intermediate player and you’re looking for something that is going to help you add a little more pace on your serve a little more pop in your on your groundstrokes, this is the better option out of the three.
it’s a great racket for players who like to generate a lot of topspin, and for players that need a little more pop from their racquets.
The Yonex Vcore Pro 97 HD is the most comfortable comparing to the other two, it has a lot of control a good amount of power and it’s a better racquet on serves, it’s also easy on the arm, it’s not powerful as the Yonex Ezone 98 but for a player with tennis elbow who are looking for a modern racquet with a mix of control and feel it’s the best option here
